Paul and Silas find themselves in prison with a perfect opportunity to escape, but they don’t take it. Instead, they are singing praises and praying – witnessing to the other prisoners and guards. Through their songs of prayer and praise the guard decides to follow Jesus. None of that would have happened if they hadn’t been in prison. Don’t avoid the difficult or the pain because it makes life easier. Embrace where you are led and pray – you never know how you might change someone’s life.
